How we work
dijitul starts every project with a free chat, then a short scoping stage that writes down exactly what will be built. You then get a fixed-price quote, or a phased plan for bigger builds. We build in stages you can see, test with real data, and hand over code and data that you own.
Free chat
Tell us the problem in plain English: what you do now, what goes wrong and what "better" looks like. No charge, no obligation.
Scoping
We map the processes, systems and data involved, agree what is in and out, and write it down so there are no surprises.
Fixed-price quote
You get a fixed price for the agreed scope, or a phased plan for bigger builds, so you can start small and prove it works.
Build and test
We build in short stages you can see and try, test against real data, then go live carefully with a rollback plan.
Hand over and look after
You own the code and the data. We can host it, support it and keep improving it, or hand it to your own team.
Why fixed price
Open-ended hourly billing puts all the risk on you. A fixed price for an agreed scope means you know the cost before you commit. If something changes along the way, we agree the change and its cost in writing before doing it.
Start small
Big systems fail when they try to do everything at once. We usually suggest a first phase that fixes the most expensive problem, such as retyping orders into your accounts, then build on it once it is paying for itself. See our MVP development and discovery and scoping pages.
What you get at the end
- The full source code, in a repository you control
- Your data, in standard formats
- Documentation on how it works and how to deploy it
- Optional hosting and support from dijitul
Frequently asked questions
How much does bespoke software cost with dijitul?
dijitul does not publish prices because every project is different. After a free chat and a short scoping stage, you get a fixed price for an agreed scope, or a phased plan for bigger builds so you can start with the part that pays back first.
Who owns the code?
You do. When the project is paid for, the code, the data and the documentation belong to you. You can keep working with dijitul or hand it to another developer.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. dijitul is happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you share details of your idea, processes or data.
Do you work with our existing systems?
Usually, yes. Most of what dijitul builds connects to something you already use: accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or KashFlow, ecommerce platforms, CRMs or Microsoft 365. Integration is a core part of what we do.
What happens after launch?
dijitul can host the software at dijituldns.co.uk and support it at dijitulsupport.co.uk, fixing issues, keeping dependencies up to date and adding features as your business changes. Or we hand over cleanly to your own team.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. dijitul works with businesses across the UK from Mansfield, using video calls, shared staging sites and short build stages you can try as we go.
