Our history
dijituldevelopments.co.uk has been dijitul's development site since around 2011. It started with KashFlow integrations, OpenCart and CubeCart extensions, and bespoke billing and target-management software. Today the same team builds web apps, API integrations and AI tools for UK businesses.
Integration has always been the thread. The first big project here connected an online shop to its accounting system so nobody had to retype orders. That is still the most common thing people ask us for, just with newer tools: Xero, QuickBooks, Shopify, Stripe and AI.
KashFlow integrations
A full KashFlow and OpenCart integration: customers created automatically on order, invoices raised when payment cleared, stock and prices kept in sync, and credit notes for cancelled orders with stock returned. Later ported to Magento. What we do now →
OpenCart development
Custom OpenCart extensions, bulk product loading and stock feeds, shop migrations that kept the URL structure, EU VAT checking and a free postcode lookup module built with CraftyClicks. What we do now →
CubeCart mods and migrations
CubeCart was the first shop platform dijitul built on. We wrote mods for it, plus tools to migrate CubeCart to OpenCart and osCommerce to CubeCart. What we do now →
Automated billing software
A billing platform first built to invoice customers for metered energy usage (electricity, water and gas), then made configurable for other recurring and usage-based billing. What we do now →
Staff target management software
Web software for setting and tracking sales targets by person, team, department and period, with reports by year, month and week. What we do now →
OCI punch-out for VirtueMart
Modifications that made Joomla VirtueMart shops OCI compliant, so they could plug into large companies' procurement systems. What we do now →
WordPress ecommerce plugins
Plugins for WP e-Commerce, including a free extra shipping options module and a payment gateway. What we do now →
Desktop apps
Adobe AIR desktop apps, including a video player that an in-car camera maker supplied to its customers. What we do now →
Where we are now
The tools have changed, from Adobe AIR and osCommerce to Laravel, React, cloud APIs and large language models. The approach hasn't: understand the business problem, build exactly what's needed, and look after it properly. See everything we build today.
